Jordan Spieth Wins the Masters
A wonderful victory. What I found most striking: the other golfers falling all over themselves to give the young kid (seriously: 21 years old!) all the credit. That doesn’t happen in other sports, and I wish it would.
A few remarks:
- Truly every golfer did his level best to transfer the attention to the champion.
- That is a characteristic of the game of golf, and of, apparently, no other sport.
- Tiger was his normal graceless self. Tiger was all about Tiger. The other golfers were all about the eventual champion, Jordan Spieth.
- It’s difficult to describe, so I won’t try, how ridiculously difficult it is to have a “wire-to-wire” victory in the Masters.
