What is oppression? Easy: Any physical or economic constraints imposed on the people for which there is no recourse. In this way, your employer can oppress you by paying you too little, working you too long or hard, or abusing you emotionally at work. And, if the government has not put in place a system in which your employment mobility is maximized, then you have limited or no recourse. That’s oppression.
