Only a pathetically amateurish hack “news” organization would ever include, in something called a news feature, a schlock phrase like “in an area prone to increasingly intense forest fires due to climate change.” National Public Radio is just such a pathetically amateurish hack organization.
This is the case where one Claas Relotius, a “journalist” for the very prestigious German publication Der Spiegel admitted that he’d been fabricating stories for many years. So now, Der Spiegel, in an attempt to get out in front of all this, is suing Relotius. As if it’s entirely his fault… Just a thought, but I think the case can be made that the American public has standing to file a criminal complaint, probably a class action lawsuit type of thing, against much of America’s “news” media.
What Claas Relotius did was produce fake news. For years. His fake news was a bunch of out and out fabrications. Made up stuff. Stuff that never happened that Relotius said did happen. That kind of stuff. However, there’s no difference between that kind of fake news and any other “news” that distorts or misleads in order to push an agenda. No difference whatsoever.
It’s laughably absurd to think that NPR knows where all the President’s information comes from. Yet, there they are, at NPR, looking you right in the eye and claiming that they do know. If you can’t call a very transparently false thing, Fake News, then to what, pray tell, can you give that name?
