The point of this is not to bring women down in anyone’s estimation, but rather to re-humanize both men and women. Neither sex even remotely resembles the crude caricatures that society tries to make of them. Men aren’t nearly the brutish subhumans that society portrays them to be, while women aren’t the super-colossi that society makes of them. They’re both just… people, each just as prone to all the same temptations to good and evil as the other.

For all that’s supposedly wrong with men, no one would have any of the creature comforts they enjoy — the astonishing advances in science, the miraculous medicines, the toys, the leisure time, the security and prosperity, and (where there’s peace) the peace they now enjoy… without men’s incredible industriousness, resilience, stamina, tenacity, courage, self-sacrificing nobility, decency, calm, stoicism, ability to endure pain — both mental and physical — and… sheer strength. Doesn’t anyone recognize the monumental INSULT to women that the phrase “believe all women” is? Women are  NOT dogs and cats, as feminists imply they are. Essence magazine was apparently able to fit the names and the details surrounding the deaths of all the black women who died in police interactions in a six-year period… into an article that can be comfortably read in five minutes. The feature is a story of sadness and tragedy that reveals a truly happy thing: As a black woman, you’re in far more danger from walking along the sidewalk or eating your dinner than from interacting with the police. You have a far greater chance of winning the lottery than of dying in a police incident. So, go out and buy a lottery ticket and say, “Hi!” to a cop on the way.
