Name-calling is juvenile, and hardens the target against your arguments. Fabrications are easy to knock aside — like the silly New York Times article. And the irrational — like pretending that you know anyone else’s experience, and how it affected him or her — makes it valid to suggest that the rest of your arguments are just as unserious.

Avoid the hasty conclusion that suggests that you think there’s only your way or the idiot’s way.

Others who believe differently are NOT, by definition, idiots. Others who think differently are NOT, by definition, bigots or racists. Others who perceive things differently are NOT, by definition, fascists or Nazis.

Grading Trump on COVID (and more)

Grading Trump on COVID (and more)

Trump federalized the effort, effectively making the states responsible for their own responses. This was EXACTLY the right thing to do, because it guaranteed 50 different responses, of which one would be the best, and would serve as a guide for future such crises. Let’s not forget that this is the FIRST such crisis we’ve faced with the ability to do instant communications. That was a particularly forward-thinking thing for Trump to do. In the beginning he gets an “A+”, because you can’t have an “A++.”

After that he gets a “C+”

*Sigh* Hillary for VP?

I swear, the Clintons are like herpes! You think you’re rid of ’em, then there they are again the next morning, glaring malevolently at you from the mirror — a big, angry, sodden, runny, putrescent, crusty, yellow-capped pustule on the bottom lip of America.

The ranks of Famous Democrats are stuffed to overflowing with dull-eyed, vacant-stared, slack-jawed, drooling, slope-headed, bony eye-ridged, half-wits occupying seats of dizzying power many years after their last brain cell, gave up the ghost after having been cruelly soaked in drugs, alcohol or leftism.

Bullet Points

Biden’s toast — It looks like Bloomberg — Sanders is leading — Pete Buttigieg is Alfred E. Newman — Elizabeth Warren is the mediocrity she appears to be — Sanders’ problem is that everyone pulls their punches with him, because no one wants to be seen as picking on the crazy person — Because of Democrats’ forbearance toward Bernie Sanders, you have half-wits in Congress like AOC et al. — AOC et al. not as smart as a tardigrade! — The Iowa Caucuses! — An idiot doesn’t know he’s an idiot; because he’s an idiot — AOC is an idiot — Idiots can be evil too.

FCOL!* — For Hillary: Credit Where Credit’s Due!

Hillary remains, and will always remain, royally ticked off at Bernie. So ticked off that she might do something that goes so utterly and completely against everything she is, in the very fiber of her being: tell the truth.

Don’t forget, Hillary still wants to be at the top of the heap on the Left. Like any top, or formerly top, leftist, she continues to crave power.

Have you ever noticed how leftists never just… go away? They lose, but they continue to scratch and claw and scrabble for power. It’s who and how they are. It’s because power is the thing they crave above all else, and that’s what makes them leftists to the core.

Let’s face it, Hillary still wants to be the President. However, since she can’t be, she still wants to grab and wield as many levers of power as she can. And, howlingly obviously, she still wants her 2016 loss to be someone else’s fault.

Wow! Stay Tuned!

Here’s a summary of the entire impeachment fraud: A whole mess of Democrats, with matches in one hand and gallon cans of gasoline in the other, are all standing in front of the burning house shouting, “Trump lit that fire!” And the media, bless their corrupt, little IQ-deprived souls, are nodding sagely to each other, intoning, “Yep. Must’ve been Trump who lit that fire!”

The Great Charade

Trump has a massive “trump” card in his pocket: The economy has absorbed the “trade war” between the United States and China, with few ill effects. If Trump and China were to strike a deal, the stock market would rise 5,000 to 7,000 points nearly overnight, fattening the retirement and bank accounts of tens of millions of Americans. Trump II would be unstoppable, and the Dems know it. Continue reading The Great Charade

Explaining the Relationship Between Trump and the Political Right — Simply

We view things and people on a continuum that stretches from REALLY bad (-10) to REALLY good (+10), and all points in-between. And THAT is the secret to the relationship between Donald Trump and us on the political Right. In the election of November, 2016, we had the choice between a minus SEVEN and a minus FOUR, and a lot of us — including me — voted for the less awful. It was the right thing to do, but almost none of us liked it. Not one bit. Continue reading Explaining the Relationship Between Trump and the Political Right — Simply

What WAS Putin’s Ideal Outcome in 2016?

What WAS Putin’s Ideal Outcome in 2016?

Look… it’s obvious: Putin did NOT want Trump to win the 2016 Presidential election. Hillary had all but vowed to be “Barack Obama II,” and Obama had already rolled over, like a long obedient lapdog, for all of Putin’s territory grabs, including in Georgia, in the Crimea, as well as everything that Russia was doing in Ukraine. A President Trump would threaten, literally, every single long-term plan of Putin’s, forcing him to re-start from ground zero and re-calculate entirely. Putin did NOT, in any way, shape or form, want to see a President Trump. Continue reading What WAS Putin’s Ideal Outcome in 2016?

Dumb As A Stick

Hillary’s really good at understanding policy. Everyone said so. The problem is: The policies she understands really well are really stupid. And she demonstrates her vast understanding of her really stupid thought, ideas and policy prescriptions really well. In other words: Dumb as a stick. Continue reading Dumb As A Stick

Roy Moore — Facts, Questions, A Modest Proposal, and a Final Very Important Point

It would have been a shock if there had NOT been a parade of unprovable, and unDISprovable, accusations leveled against him, and amplified by the press, as soon as he won the primary for the Alabama Senate seat. Skepticism about the charges against Roy Moore is not only rational and intelligent, it’s the RIGHT state-of mind. I remember thinking, at the news of Moore’s triumph in the Alabama Senate primary: “I wonder what dirty tricks the Democrats will do to get this Senate seat.” Continue reading Roy Moore — Facts, Questions, A Modest Proposal, and a Final Very Important Point

Yet Another Masterful Column from Jonah Goldberg — and Some Discussion

I’m not sure that the Trump Presidency is worse than what, with another Republican, likely would have been just an interregnum between the Obama Presidency and the next horror-show Democrat President. Furthermore, don’t forget: lovable, corrupt, witless old Bernie Sanders made it okay to call oneself a Socialist again. That means that the Democrat Party field for President in upcoming primaries will no longer, for the foreseeable future, be lacking an avowedly Socialist candidate for the Presidency. Great. –>    Continue reading Yet Another Masterful Column from Jonah Goldberg — and Some Discussion

President Trump’s Munich Moment

You read it here first: This is the 21st Century’s, and President Trump’s, Munich Moment. Bill Clinton gave North Korea their nuclear program; George W. Bush backed down when the Norks showed they were developing nuclear weapons, and Barack Obama overtly gave them the blessing to obtain their bomb. Great jobs the appeasers do, eh? Now, Trump has a Munich Moment. What will he do with it? Continue reading President Trump’s Munich Moment

You Read It Here First – Part III

So, why did the hackers hack  into the DNC servers, and John Podesta’s e-mails? That’s easy: Hillary Clinton was going to be the President of the United States! Donald Trump was going to be the big, ridiculous, blowhard buffoon, who was going to get so shellacked by the juggernaut that was Hillary Clinton, that he was ALSO going to take the entire Republican Party down the drain with him! I mean everyone told us all that, remember? It wasn’t even going to be close.  No one, but no one on earth… was interested in TRUMP’s servers, or  TRUMP’s e-mails! But, all the world WAS interested in the servers and the e-mails of the future President of the United States, and the successor to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, the Great and Powerful. I Feel Trump’s Pain

The Left USED to fight dirty… but now that we on the Right have ways to push back, the Left make dirty fighting look like a tennis match between well-dressed gentlemen 100 years ago. And the crap tsunami directed at Trump is just more of this new ultra-dirty fighting that the Left have embraced to such violent effect all over America. It’s what they’ve been doing rhetorically for a long time now to all Conservatives, as well as to me and to my colleagues here in our small but increasingly influential think tank. It’s because they don’t have anything substantive to say or do… but they still want power. It’s all the Left ever want. Continue reading I Feel Trump’s Pain
