Every single feature on NPR — bar absolutely none — happens in order to advance their Leftism Prime Obsession. All their features and programs, bar absolutely none, take the form of a feature on one of the secondary obsessions, which are only tools to advance the Prime Obsession. Far as I can tell, NPR has nearly completely ignored the story of rampant child abuse and rape in Rotherham, England. They did do two stories, in which two words were notably absent: “islam,” and “muslim.” I wonder why that is. Remember what we’ve said numerous times in these pages: You ALWAYS come out of any session with NPR “news” less informed than when you go in. Continue reading NPR Watch (7/19/17) — Did NPR Check To See Whether Rapes Were Okay?
We Conservatives in the 1980’s “approved” of Mikhail Gorbachev because we thought he might bring the Soviet Union down. Nearly thirty years later, Europeans “approved” of Barack Obama because they hoped he’d do the same thing, if perhaps a bit less drastically, to America. It’s a sure bet that the French overwhelmingly “disapprove” of Trump because they fear that he’ll do for America the exact opposite of what Gorbachev did to the then Soviet Union, and make America stronger. If they believe that an American President will not act in America’s best interests, then Europeans love him. Conversely, if they believe that the American President will operate in America’s best interests, they’ll hate him. Simple as that. The most intriguing thing in all this is the sheer, jaw-dropping ignorance of Garcia-Navarro’s question to McEnroe. There’s no indication that the question was anything but perfectly serious. This is the abysmal level of ignorance to which NPR always sinks. The reason is simple: NPR’s hard-leftist ideology trumps everything. Lulu Garcia-Navarro simply couldn’t possibly have imagined that the best female tennis player in the world wasn’t also the best tennis player in the world, flat out. In Garcia-Navarro’s world, women are the best at everything. They’re smarter, wiser, better educated, better at sports… better people in every respect, than men. I guarantee that McEnroe’s response to her frankly idiotic question threw her completely for a loop. If Garcia-Navarro were to do the tiniest bit of digging, then she’d find that a whole lot of the fetid, stinking mess that is the leftist orthodoxy that Garcia-Navarro swallows uncritically, is mostly the same codswallop that she believed about Serena Williams.
