The Great Socialism Take-down Project: Essay #20

Socialism is Evil! Why? Far from being a progressive, new thing, it’s nothing more than that same regression to the primitive. Granted, it’s the primitive all gussied up in fancy words like “income equality,” and “social justice,” and “equity,” but it’s still the same, old, mouldering, archaic, uncivilized toxin that has one person lording it over another, and that’s been in place for millennia. It’s the Law of the Jungle from caveman days, when might made right, and the people/serfs/slaves obeyed their powerful overseers… or else.

It’s ironic how, the more primitive, the more regressive, the more reactionary the system, the more those who support it insist that we all call it “Progressive.”

It’s Unimaginable!

It’s Unimaginable!

The Left is always taunting us Christian Conservative Capitalists. “What would Jesus do?” they sneer, then propose to answer their own rhetorical jeer with, “He’d say to feed the poor and the homeless.”

To which the retort is easy, “Yes, he’d say to do that, but he wouldn’t then say to leave them in their poverty!” Continue reading It’s Unimaginable!

A Longish, Slightly More Theoretical Essay About Socialism For Today

A Longish, Slightly More Theoretical Essay About Socialism For Today

Here’s the key fact: Misery does NOT require the cooperation of the people in making themselves miserable. Happiness DOES require the willing participation of the people — actively taking advantage of opportunities to make themselves happier.

After all, only YOU know how to make YOU happy. But, the government DOES know how to make you miserable.

Why is there such a sharp contrast in the two visions? The answer’s fairly simple: It’s EASY to make everyone miserable. And equal. It’s not AT ALL easy to make everyone happy! You can conjure misery out of thin air — enact massive taxes, confiscate businesses and industries, “collectivize” land and property, dispossess, deport and despoil peoples and regions, and so forth — you can NOT produce happiness out of thin air.

A Good Anti-Socialist Broadside

A Good Anti-Socialist Broadside

As is the case with anything: when there are hundreds of thousands around the world proclaiming their willingness to slaughter people in its name, at some point, you have no choice but to conclude that the problem might be with the thing itself.

As it is with Socialism.

When, as history has shown, there are hundreds of thousands around the world who are perfectly willing to slaughter hundreds of millions of people in Socialism’s name, at some point, you have to conclude that the problem just might be with… Socialism itself.

Proving Socialism is Bad: Geographically

Proving Socialism is Bad: Geographically

The world can be seen as divided into two parts: In one part the people live well, freely and with great opportunity to advance their circumstances

In the other part of the world, the people live in squalor, poverty, disease and despair. Worse, they have no possibility to improve their lives.

Where the people live well is entirely Capitalist; where the people live horribly is entirely Socialist.

Is there any wonder there are no mass movements to any overtly Socialist country? Is it any surprise that all migrations are from Socialist countries to Capitalist countries?

Of course it’s no surprise. Socialism is bad… really bad.

Let’s Get At Least ONE Thing Straight: There’s No Such Thing as “Democratic Socialism”

Democracy implies that you can vote in someone who will support and enact something, and then you can vote in someone else who can undo all that the previous guy did. No Socialist ever intends to enact anything that can be undone in some future election.

Remember, once the Socialist has stolen what he’s going to steal, he doesn’t just sit on it so that at some future date he can give it back if a future election mandates it. No, once he’s stolen it, the Socialist… uses it.

This is because Socialism is all about taking. The reason for this is a simple truth: To achieve greater societal equality by elevating those who have less is vastly more difficult than to achieve equality by taking from those who have more.

Socialists understand this intuitively, and, intuitively, they seek to reduce in stature those who have more, rather than elevating those who have less.

The supporting reason for this is simple too: to elevate the poor, you must put in place opportunities that the poor might or might not take advantage of. This takes time, and some of the poor, will fail to take advantage of opportunities. To dispossess the wealthy, however, you need only to enact some law or other. And you can ignore the poor entirely. Easy!

Since Socialism works to impoverish those who have more, rather than elevating the impoverished, it guarantees a sick society.

Wow! So MUCH to Observe!

Two Quick Things: First: It obviously was no accident that the Iranian régime murdered more than 170 Ukrainian people on an airplane in coldest blood. Yet, still no commentary anywhere (except here, of course) suggesting that the Iranian régime is composed of amoral beasts.

Next…The more Socialism you have, the more the government takes from you; the more Capitalism you have, the more the government… leaves you alone.
