Some Brief Further Thoughts on Socialism

Some Brief Further Thoughts on Socialism

If Socialism were a decent belief system, then its highest, most sacred aim would be to make itself obsolete. Instead, though, Socialism’s highest aim is merely self-perpetuation.

Some try to pretend that Socialism and Communism are NOT the same thing. Really, though, Socialism is LITTLE cyanide, and Communism is BIG cyanide — they’re just different doses of the same deadly poison.

A Longish, Slightly More Theoretical Essay About Socialism For Today

A Longish, Slightly More Theoretical Essay About Socialism For Today

Here’s the key fact: Misery does NOT require the cooperation of the people in making themselves miserable. Happiness DOES require the willing participation of the people — actively taking advantage of opportunities to make themselves happier.

After all, only YOU know how to make YOU happy. But, the government DOES know how to make you miserable.

Why is there such a sharp contrast in the two visions? The answer’s fairly simple: It’s EASY to make everyone miserable. And equal. It’s not AT ALL easy to make everyone happy! You can conjure misery out of thin air — enact massive taxes, confiscate businesses and industries, “collectivize” land and property, dispossess, deport and despoil peoples and regions, and so forth — you can NOT produce happiness out of thin air.

How to Get Rid of the Nonsense Term “Democratic Socialism” — Overnight!

How to Get Rid of the Nonsense Term “Democratic Socialism” — Overnight!

First, a simple truth: There’s no such thing as “Democratic Socialism.” Socialism is, by definition, NOT democratic. Why? Simple: “Democracy” implies the possibility of voting into office people who might undo what the Socialists are doing!

Socialists are NOT in it to re-configure society, and then just have someone come along, get democratically elected, and UN-re-configure it! So, anyone who says he or she is a “Democratic Socialist” is either entirely clueless (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez), or lying to you (Linda Sarsour), or both (Bernie Sanders). Either way, you shouldn’t listen to their codswallop.

Anyway, I have a way to get rid of the phrase altogether. And it would happen overnight. And it COULD happen NEXT WEEK!

A Good Anti-Socialist Broadside

A Good Anti-Socialist Broadside

As is the case with anything: when there are hundreds of thousands around the world proclaiming their willingness to slaughter people in its name, at some point, you have no choice but to conclude that the problem might be with the thing itself.

As it is with Socialism.

When, as history has shown, there are hundreds of thousands around the world who are perfectly willing to slaughter hundreds of millions of people in Socialism’s name, at some point, you have to conclude that the problem just might be with… Socialism itself.

A First Draft of a Conservative Mission Statement

A First Draft of a Conservative Mission Statement

I’ve long thought that the Conservative movement ought to have a “Mission Statement.”

Now, mind you, the Conservative movement is not something with a centralized leadership structure. There are Conservative leaders, but no official leadership. So, there can be no established mission statement.

However, there could be a statement that kind of takes hold, because people embrace it, spread it around, print it and hang it in the kitchen, and the like. It would then become a kind of a de facto Conservative Mission Statement.

Socialism Is Evil (Part III)

Socialism Is Evil (Part III)

The human condition is an innate, ceaseless drive to… improve itself. Every second of every day, with every breath, and every act, no matter how tiny, no matter how seemingly trivial. Socialism, though, proposes to handcuff, straitjacket, confine the human condition. To imprison the human being.

Socialists call that “justice.”

Bottom Line: Socialism is the urge to reject real human progress and return to the primitive.
