Let’s Face It…

Let’s face it…

The Democrat Party of America has only one hope for survival in the future: that they’re correct in their assessment that the American people are idiots.

If the Democrats are wrong in this conclusion, then they’re doomed.  If they’re right, they are the future power structure of this country.

However, the Democrats are hedging their bets. If the American people are not idiots, then… well, the Democrats view Hispanics and black Americans as idiots too. Hence, they’re importing as many Hispanics as they can across the Southern border, and they continue to do their level best to bribe black Americans with as much free stuff and validation as they can possibly dish out.

It’s important to note that the Democrats have always had another choice: to up their game. To try to formulate policy prescriptions, governing theories, foundational beliefs, and legislative proposals that would appeal to intelligent people, and not to self-obsessed, uneducated, ignorant, greedy, lazy morons… and the media.

Quite some time ago, the Democrats must have come to the realization that a free, prosperous, advancing, progressive America represents their doom.

However, this is the party of slavery, of Jim Crow, of segregation, of the KKK, of identity politics, suppression of free speech, Socialism, statist oppression, of confiscation, coercion and compulsion, of urban blight, poverty, wrecked families, and death, of baby slaughter and (soon) granny-whacking. Let’s face it they’re not going to let a little thing like truth or basic human decency get in their way.

  1. I think the “idiocy” you are attempting to identify lies within the perception that one side or the other is “better” than one side or the other. Why continue to spread fear when there is nothing to fear.. except fear itself, like FDR said. Trump’s entire existence has been all about his pervasiveness in promoting fear.

  2. Hi again, Doug! First one quick thing. It’s been a long pet peeve of mine. The FDR quote is… meaningless. It’s one of the stupidest, most meaningless, most insipid things uttered in public in history. Yet, because it was uttered by an Important American Historical Figure, people have bowed down before its inanity for decades. Let this vapid nonsense die a well-deserved death.

Okay, a bit more: It means nothing. It says nothing. It offers no deep insight. It must have made FDR laugh uproariously when so many took such an inane piece of verbal slop and lauded it as great wisdom. Think about it, and you tell me what it means. No need… I’ll tell you: it means whatever you want to make it mean. In other words: anything to anyone. In other words: nothing. Dude: think about things!

Next: One side is better than the other. This is always true. One idea about an issue is always better than another. One policy prescription is always better than another. One candidate is always better than another. One conclusion, out of several about a topic, is always better than another. It requires great wisdom to be able to discern the better option, the better side, the better candidate, the better conclusion. This is the human condition. It’s why we have “democracy.” Democracy represents humanity’s best attempt (so far) to provide the best, fairest chance of arriving at the best of one or more options when faced with contentious issues. The implication is simple: One of these is the best… please choose wisely.

Next: Please tell me what Trump is spreading fear about.

Next: It’s kind of obvious that the Democrats in Congress are all about one thing: spreading fear about Trump. In the hopes of preventing his re-election in 2020 (cf, eg: “SCOTUS,” and “infirm, senile, leftists on the Supreme Court”).

You said, “his pervasiveness.” Where is that pervasiveness? Trump is “pervasive” only to the extent that anyone allows him to be pervasive. It’s only leftists, I’ve observed, who allow him to be “pervasive” in their lives.

He’s in my life only to the extent that I permit him in my life. Furthermore, he occupies the brains of idiot leftists precisely because they have allowed him in there. I’m no fan of Trump, but then I’m no fan of any President. I’m supposed to be his boss, so I don’t allow him in my brain any more than I have to. I don’t find him to be a particularly congenial person — at least to my own personality — so, again, he has only so much of my brainspace as I allow to him, which isn’t much. It’s the same in reverse, I suspect.

    1. There are times I would swear you are female. Not meant to diss or insult… or even to judge gender ability or slight women at all. Just an observation.

      1. Lol! I’m not sure I’ve ever told you what sex I am.

I do write in various styles on various platforms, so I’m sure I come off as any number of demographics. 🙂

      2. A weird way to pivot away from X’s great answer. I agree that the only “fear-mongering” is that of the Trump-deranged left.

Then Doug wonders what gender X is ? Didn’t have much to do with the issues being discussed but… whatever.

        1. I wondered about it myself, Desdi! And, thank you for your kind words.

Doug is a nice enough fellow, who, I think, is trying to “reform” us; to turn us into the milquetoast, centrist Republicans of which he is a member (I think).

However, we like Doug, because he does present his dissent in polite discourse.

We’ve long maintained here that we Conservatives need — crave even — a legitimate opposition from the Left. The Left long ago abandoned any claim to legitimate ideas, and is now engaged only in insulting, bullying, bludgeoning, lying, propaganda, and other signs that they’re all out of intellectual gas.

Think about it: at the level of national issues, when was the last time the Left came up with a solid policy prescription that was coherent, made sense, worked, or, most importantly, survived serious, honest scrutiny?

I pose that question honestly. It’s possible that the American Left has not had a good idea, on a national scale, in more than a century!

Literally all the Important Big Ideas have come from the Right:
          • Limited government
          • Individual Responsibilities/Individual Rights
          • Anti-slavery
          • Anti-discrimination
          • Limited taxation
          • Pro-life
          • Anti-eugenics; anti-euthanasia
          • Support for the institution of marriage; and particularly of one man-one woman marriage
          • Defense of free speech
          • Support for independent, high-quality education
          • A muscular foreign policy

Look at the list of policy prescriptions implemented and supported by the Left that have led to higher expenses, lower quality, diminished freedom, misery, impoverishment, despair and/or death:
          • Slavery
          • Government funding for education
          • Government control over education, and in particular the transformation of the educational system into a propaganda machine.
          • Government control over healthcare
          • Social Security
          • Medicare
          • Abortion
          • The new Eugenics
          • Welfare
          • Urban policy is the exclusive province of the Left. The cities are increasingly killing fields for, in particular, young, black men.
          • The destruction of the family; particularly the black family
          • The destruction of the institution of marriage
          • The normalization of Sexual Weirdism
          • The normalization of Gender Weirdism
          • The suppression of free speech everywhere
          • Appeasement of terrorists around the world
          • Appeasement of historical terrorists around the world: Stalin (and his successors), Hitler, Mao, Ho, the Kims, Castro, Chavez, Nasser, Gaddhafi, Assad, Hussein, and many more.
          • Environmentalism
          • Not to forget, of course: Socialism

To name just a few. All of the Left’s notions of how to address something fall into one or more of several categories:
          (1) old things with fancy new names
          (2) new, but really bad, ideas
          (3) warmed-over, once-rejected ideas that have fallen out of American historical memory: (the new Eugenics, for example)

The premise of this is that we Conservatives need — crave really — a legitimate opposition from the Left. We never, ever, not ever, not even once, try to pretend that we exclusively hold all wisdom. The Left tries to pretend that they do.

We never, ever, not ever, not even once, try to pretend that our ideas couldn’t use ever greater refinement, ever greater honing, ever more sharpening. The Left pretends that its ideas are perfect as soon as they’re born. That’s why they do their level best to shut down debate on such ideas immediately.

We need strong, principled, intelligent, rational alternatives to the policy proposals that we advance. However, that would mean that leftists would have to abandon their power-madness, and instead focus on actually resolving problems. Can they do that? They’ve not shown any tendency to even want to do it.

It’s important to repeat the question, because of the last phrase: at the level of national issues, when was the last time the Left came up with a solid policy prescription that was coherent, made sense, worked, or, most importantly, survived serious, honest scrutiny?

“Survived honest, serious scrutiny…” That would mean that today’s thoroughly corrupt, dishonest media would have to be… honest. That’s the major stumbling block right there. The Left will present real, substantive ideas, proposals and counter-proposals only when the media demand it of them.
