She said, “They’re just not all that bright.”
It’s entirely possible that the reason the ideas of the political Right get no traction in today’s America media is that the people in the media are just too stupid to understand them.
Every time I listen to Chuck Schumer, or Nancy Pelosi, or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex, or Rashida Tlaib, or Ilhan Omar, or Ayanna Pressley, I’m reminded of the movie: Idiocracy. It means, of course, rule by idiots. (1)
When Mollie Hemingway made her statement, she was answering a question that we on the political Right pose frequently: “Why don’t they (the Left, and in this case, the media) understand?!?”
Hemingway was stating the obvious: You can’t rule out the possibility that they’re just idiots. In other words: they might not be able to understand.
As we’ve noted before, you could add up the IQ’s of all the above-listed personages and not get into double figures.
(1) A quick synopsis of the movie, from IMDB.com:
Private Joe Bauers, the definition of “average American”, is selected by the Pentagon to be the guinea pig for a top-secret hibernation program. Forgotten, he awakes five centuries in the future. He discovers a society so incredibly dumbed down that he’s easily the most intelligent person alive.
