An Instructive Read About Today’s Socialists — Hint: They’re Morons

Today’s Socialists, the latest, greatest, hot new things, if you believe Democrat Party propagandists, are historically illiterate, ignorant, uneducated… half-wits. Perfect leaders for the American Democrat Party, the party of half-wits, uneducated, ignorant… morons.

If you read this, you start to figure out why they’re idiots.

A little background: Republican Senator John Cornyn of Texas tweeted a quote from the Socialist, Fascist Italian dictator, Benito Mussolini. Here’s Cornyn’s tweet:

We were the first to assert that the more complicated the forms assumed by civilization, the more restricted the freedom of the individual must become.” Benito Mussolini

Anyone who knows history, or Cornyn, knows immediately that the quote is meant to be instructive, and does not constitute an endorsement of Mussolini, but rather a condemnation of “complicated forms assumed by civilization.” Complicated forms supported by and endorsed by Mussolini. To summarize, the quote is an obvious condemnation of Mussolini and of what Mussolini stood for.

But, our Socialists in America today, bless their IQ-deprived, half-witted, feeble-minded, doltish, little hearts, leaped all over it as though Cornyn was quoting Mussolini to endorse some kind of great truth or wisdom from him.

Here’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet in response to Cornyn’s tweet:

In case you missed it, while the GOP is calling paying a living wage “socialism,” a Republican Senator full-on quoted National Fascist Party leader and Hitler ally Benito Mussolini like it’s a Hallmark card.

Yes, we know that Socialists are stupid. It’s likely why they’re ignorant.  (Stupidity causes ignorance, among other things.) Yes, we know that Socialists are uneducated. (Stupidity causes a lack of education as well) Yes, we know that Socialists display their stupidity, their ignorance, their lack of education every day.

This one, though, is a serious howler!

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — certified moron, obvious half-wit, unmatched idiot — is an elected representative of the United States of America.

No more howling.

Read the piece by Jonah Goldberg in its entirety, and marinate a bit in its well-demonstrated and documented thesis: “Today’s Socialists are idiots.(1)

Here are a few paragraphs of Goldberg’s essay:

First, there’s the irony that Mussolini was in favor of a minimum wage.  The Fasci Italiani di Combattimento founded by Mussolini called for a minimum wage and he boasted of his support for it in his autobiography.

Second, the Nazi Party supported minimum wages (and later, maximum wages too).

Third, both the Nazis and the Italian Fascists supported all sorts of economic policies that resemble aspects of the Green New Deal, from the nationalization of various industries to heavy regulation of finance and even the appropriation of “unearned” wealth.

Fourth, Mussolini, a huge fan of William James and the idea of a “Moral Equivalent of War,”  shared with AOC and others the idea that society should be organized along the lines of war mobilization to address domestic needs (Hence Mussolini’s various “Battle of the Grains” campaigns and whatnot).

Fifth, the 1930s saw new deals in America, Germany, and Italy alike. This contention is far, far, more controversial in 2019 than it was in the 1930s. If you’re interested in this topic, I suggest you read Wolfgang Schivelbusch’s Three New Deals. Or you could read my first book. Or you can do what I did in the course of writing that book and read what prominent New Dealers were saying in the 1930s. Rexford Guy Tugwell, a prominent member of FDR’s Brain Trust, said of Italian Fascism, “It’s the cleanest, neatest most efficiently operating piece of social machinery I’ve ever seen. It makes me envious.” “We are trying out the economics of Fascism without having suffered all its social or political ravages,” proclaimed the New Republic’s editor George Soule, an enthusiastic supporter of the FDR administration.

To summarize:

  • Mussolini… and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are both in favor of a minimum wage.
  • Hitler… and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are both in favor of a minimum wage.
  • Hitler and Mussolini — and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — would all be in favor of the “Green New Deal.”
  • Hitler, Mussolini, FDR — and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — are all in favor of “New Deals.
  • Mussolini, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, et al on the Left have lonng been in favor of a “maximum wage.”

Well, well, well… Hitler, Mussolini, Fascists, Nazis, Socialists, “Democratic” Socialists — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders… they’re all the same thing. All the same ideology, all the same thoughts. All that the AOC’s and the Bernie Sanders’ of the present do is to recycle old, horrible crap from the past, and pretend that it’s new stuff for the present. And they all call themselves, “Progressives.

(1) Okay, okay, those are my words. However, Goldberg’s essay implies what I said.

  1. Interesting.. so you are suggesting, given all your adjectives describing socialist democrats that you could sum it all up that they are simply a bunch of “deplorables”, right? Could we then call them “the new deplorables”?

What’s with all the Hitlerian comparisons? Why is there always the need to invoke “Godwin”?

    1. I have a bit of a thesis: At the highest levels, the Democrats are aware that they’re completely corrupt, so they tend to say things they hope will get their sycophants in the media looking away from what they themselves are doing.

So, yes, when Hillary was calling Conservative and right-wing Americans “Deplorables” it was at a time when their campaign was acting its most deplorably.

Democrat voters are not deplorable, for the most part, but the leadership of the Democrat Party consists of the most inexcusably corrupt and, indeed, deplorable of ghoulish goons. (It should be noted that anyone who is a serious Socialist is, indeed, deplorable.)

If RICO laws were applied equitably, there wouldn’t be a prominent Democrat at liberty today. Including Hillary Clinton, Obama, Shumer, Harry Reid (ret.), Pelosi, and more. Steny Hoyer might still be free… or he just hasn’t been caught yet.

If the press were merely honest — not just biased — the Democrat Party would lose its electoral viability overnight. By the way, I’m perfectly okay with a biased press… “Biased press” only names the obvious, and the inevitable. No press can be unbiased.

But, then if the press were simply honest, then our country wouldn’t be in the horrible political shape it’s in, Trump wouldn’t be President, the Democrats would be a lot less corrupt, both parties would be oscillating around a political center line, as opposed to around a left-leaning pole (search “xPraetorius curve” in our pages for an explanation of that).

I blast the Left a lot, but it’s the corrupt media who are at the root of the major problems in America.

As far as the “Hitler” comparisons go, I have to admit that I take a bit of a perverse delight in ascribing that to the Left, since they pioneered the use of this insult that’s supposed to silence all debate and dissent.

They also pioneered the idea that the Socialist Hitler was really a… right-winger. He wasn’t. (Search “Hitler right-winger” in our pages if you wish further elaboration, and some lively discussion, on that point) At some point, people will get sick of people constantly evoking Hitler, and it will have reached critical mass. At that point, I guess, we’ll move on. However, it’s fun to hear leftists go apoplectic when they get a taste of their own medicine.

  2. John Dewey and other guiding lights of US public education stated clearly from the beginning that they wanted schools to inculcate this group-think mindset in the American populace. One must be well dumbed-down first.
