At the recent March for Life in Washington D.C. a group of High School kids went from Covington, High School in Kentucky. After the march was over, the kids were waiting for their bus to bring them to the airport for the trip home.
It was during this wait that a bunch of racist goons calling themselves something like “Black Hebrew Israelites,” approached the kids and began to rain steady abuse on them. Much of the taunting yelled at the young teen kids is unprintable.
How did the kids respond? They began to do a bunch of the school spirit chants they had learned at Covington. You know, things like: “Yea rah rah, Covington!” I don’t know the actual chants, but that’s the nature of them. Hardly rugged stuff; in the face of some really despicable abuse by… “adults.” Chronological adults, anyway.
Then, in the midst of all this silliness — though it was silliness that must have appeared quite menacing to a bunch of teens from a parochial school in Kentucky — in marched one Nathan Phillips, who then got up in the face of one of the teens — a certain Nicholas Sandmann — banging a drum and chanting.
How did the Covington teens respond to that? They began to chant back at Phillips. This , along with a tomahawk chop thing, was, it turns out, the worst thing the kids did during the entire two hour encounter involving the Covington High kids, the “Black Hebrew Israelite” goons and Nathan Phillips. Oh, some of the kids were wearing hats that said, “Make America Great Again.”
And that’s what got caught by “journalists” who “covered” the incident — if by “covering the incident,” you mean: fabricated a story around a video taken out of context and didn’t have either the integrity or the intelligence to do the work necessary to find out the real story or to report it.
Needless to say, the press ran with the kids’ pretty tame response to Phillips’ provocation, and fabricated a narrative: “MAGA hat-wearing high school kids engage in racist taunting of Native American elder, Nathan Phillips.” Why did the media invent and spread this lie? Simple: the fake narrative comported perfectly with the so-called “journalists'” preconceived notions.
In so “reporting,” the media got the story exactly 180 degrees wrong. The Covington kids were doing nothing wrong; just waiting for their bus. They were accosted by the “Black Hebrew Israelite” goons, and were the recipients of a fusillade of disgusting verbal abuse from the goons.
Then, Nathan Phillips came in and got up in the face of the student. Phillips’ presence was plainly intended to intimidate and provoke the teens.
How do I know all this? Simple: one of the “Black Hebrew Israelite” goons, inconveniently, filmed the entire two-hour fiasco, and released it to the public. That video showed quite clearly that the Covington High kids were completely innocent of any wrongdoing whatsoever in the whole spectacle.
Plus, everything that Phillips said after the incident, to an adoring media corps, was a lie. He accused the Covington High kids of doing exactly what the video of the event showed him doing. From that we can logically deduce that since he accused the kids of trying to intimidate and provoke him, really he was there to intimidate and provoke the kids.
I watched the abridged video (here) and it shows nothing bad whatsoever being done by the Covington kids. Hold on… one of the kids does a “tomahawk chop” thing partway through the video, and that’s it. Sorry: the “tomahawk” chop thing should be offensive to no one.
The kid, Nick Sandmann, with the so-called “smug expression” on his face? He simply stood there smiling at Phillips as the “Native American elder” chanted and banged his drum right in his face. Nicholas Sandmann is 16 years old. How do you think you might have reacted when you were 16 years old? Remember: young Sandmann had also just endured, along with his schoolmates, a long period of verbal abuse by the “Black Hebrew Israelite” goons.
Others have written more and better on this sorry display of Leftist thuggery, along with journalist incompetence and malfeasance, but here’s the thing that I want to point out: After it became clear that the media had been 100% wrong, and had completely wrongly identified the abusers as victims and the victims as abusers, no one in the left-wing media took back their initial false stories.
Here’s an instructive post in the left-wing Daily Kos. It has some 637 comments (and counting, presumably). In those comments, the string-the-kids-up bunch struggles desperately to hang onto their precious Racist-White-High-School-Kids narrative. There are some among the hundreds of comments who deal rationally with the facts that come out as they come out, and as those facts show that the narrative is… wrong. However, more of them just keep on keepin’ on, and it’ll be the kids’ fault forever in their minds.
Surely these same people continue to believe that the Duke LaCrosse team is guilty of rape, and the Rolling Stone false rape accuser is a truth-teller as well.
Remember: these were not only false stories, the truth was exactly the opposite of what was being reported. Only the right-wing media walked back their initial condemnation of the High School kids.
The result of this is that you can still see crap like this in the blogosphere. Yes, it’s our old pal Brothawolf, the racist black man who went with the original false news “reporting,” and, like the rest of the Left, has not issued either a retraction or an apology, and has, in fact, doubled down on his fabrications.
Another member of the RGI commenting on the incident is Abagond, another racist black man who ran with the false narrative and is, apparently, sticking with it. The above link to his thoughts on the whole thing is from the 25th of this month — yesterday — long after it became well known that the Covington High students weren’t the ones in the wrong in the story.
Brothawolf’s essay ends on this classy note:
It’s one thing to act like d**ks in public. It’s another to not own up to d**kish behavior, try to avoid any means of accountability, scapegoat others and yet, somehow feel proud at the end of the day. That seems to be the theme of the Trump-supporting troglodytes.
Now that it’s been revealed that Brothawolf acted “like a d**ck,” can we expect an apology or retraction from him? Likely not.
Here are some of the responses to Brothawolf’s ghoulish post:
This same “Mary Burrell” harpy goes on to say the following (I’ve put “[debunked]” next to the falsehoods in her comment):
Now, it’s possible that Brothawolf’s feature, published on the 22nd of this month, came out before people figured out that all that they had heard about the Covington High kids was wrong, so let’s see what Brothwolf has to say a few days further down the road. Surely he’s acknowledged his “mistake,” and apologized and published something about the real story, right?
Here’s Brothawolf’s next installment on the saga. That one was posted last Thursday — two day ago. Long, long after it had become clear that the Covington kids had done nothing wrong. Here’s what BW says about it, after all that he’d previously written had been throughout debunked. Important Note: the debunking came from a video of the entire two-hour incident posted by someone from Phillips’ group! This was not a video that anyone could pretend had been edited. Here’s Brothawolf’s latest about the affair (I’ve placed “[debunked]” after those things that are now known to be false:
Lastly, for now, you remember the MAGA teens who were trying to start something [debunked] with Native American veteran Nathan Phillips at the March For Life in Washingtonthe other day and one of them, Nick Sandmann, had a smug smile [debunked] on his face that was begging to be punched [debunked]? [Editor’s Note: You can characterize Sandmann’s smile as a “smug smile,? or a “smirk,” all you want, but that’s just an opinion. It could also be characterized as a tense smile, as Nathan Phillips is plainly in Sandmann’s face taunting him. In retrospect, it appears that Sandmann acted perfectly appropriately, given the circumstances. It’s notable how the Left always retreats to threats of violence. Brothawolf is no exception.]
Well, there’s more.
The school in which these thugs [debunked] hail from (Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky) looks even worse [debunked] thanks to reports and videos highlighting how they also made rape jokes [debunked], harassed women [debunked] and wore black face [debunked]. The videos are uploaded here to prove it. Viewer discretion is advised. [Editor’s note: This is more theatrics on Brothwolf’s part. The videos are quite tame.]
As usual, the drumbeats denying that any of the delinquents involved are racist are being played [Editor’s note: Well, since the entire narrative has been completely debunked, it’s perfectly appropriate that there would be people coming to the defense of the high school kids.]. And of course, Trump weighed in on the incidents reciting from the alt-right script of defending the offenders and crying fake news. [The “news” reports about the incident were, indeed, fake news. There should be nothing surprising about President Trump coming to the kids’ defense. And “fake news” is something that Trump is known to say. This is nothing at all surprising.]
Now look, to all the white followers and readers of this blog, let me reassure you that I DON’T hate white people.[debunked. Editor’s note: Brothawolf is an avowed racist. What, serious question, is a racist like Brothawolf doing with his racism? Loving white people? On his blog he continues to have a post (here) that fantasizes about the violent extermination of all white people(1). He endorsed that post, and he has refused to renounce on his blog either the post or the sentiment expressed] Frankly, I don’t see how being sick and tired of the racist, sexist and Islamophobic bullshit done by (mostly) white males in these instances is considered wrong. [Editor’s note: Saying someone is guilty of something of which he demonstrably is not, is very, very wrong. Obviously. It’s what racists do. Brothawolf is a racist.] Saying otherwise is a sign of moral bankruptcy and intellectual dishonesty. These fools DO NOT represent all white people, but they are products of a destructive culture within human nature. [Editor’s Note: except that the story that supposedly leads to this conclusion is… demonstrably false.]
I won’t sugarcoat it like some news media outlets do. We live in times where fear, ignorance and hate are used as tools for leanring (sic), survival and pride, where the definition of ‘truth’ is becoming more and more subjective and watered down, and where progress is being derailed all for the sake for keeping hate, ignorance and fear going. [Editor’s Note: This is some incoherent, slapdash twaddle that says nothing meaningful. Where is Brothawolf’s evidence of what he says here? Especially since the story that’s supposed to support this last paragraph is… false. Literal fake news.]
The actions of the bad actors in this incident — Nathan Phillips, the Black Hebrew Israelites, the media, the Race Grievance Industry, the Left in general — are abhorrent. Disgusting. They’re an affront to all that is good and decent, and Americans with any shred of decency left in them at all need to decry this travesty.
The Covington kids are… kids for crying out loud! Furthermore, they did nothing wrong at all. People like Brothawolf and Abagond, who appear incapable of admitting it when they’ve done or said wrong, and who are thereby willing to harm young children because of the color of their skin, are ghoulish exemplars of what the Left has come to in America.
In a final note: as the rest of Leftist and Leftish America clings to their blind hatred of anyone and anything that doesn’t adhere to their simplistic, childish viewpoints, the Covington High kids have demonstrated amazing grace in the face of a massive outpouring of violent hostility coming at them. None expressed any bitterness at all, and even Nick Sandmann said of Nathan Phillips — a man who lied about Sandmann to national media — “I respect him. I’d like to talk with him.” That’s it.
Again, do you think that your sixteen-year old self could respond even close to that maturely or gracefully in the face of screaming hatred and death threats coming at you after you had done nothing wrong?
The real racism in America is, obviously, on the Left.
(1) Here’s the quote:
And here’s Brothawolf’s response:
Lol! Hahahaha! How jolly to wish for the extermination of more than a billion people! How droll and comical!
To repeat: The real racism in America is, obviously, on the Left.
