NPR Watch (1/27/17) — The Left Reveals Itself Again on NPR

Bottom Line: This is how the left thinks. It’s not only where you live. It’s also: how you think, how you vote, what your job and/or income is, the color of your skin, who your parents are or were, how and what you eat or drink, whether you smoke … who and how you are. And if you’re not who and how the left thinks you ought to be, then you deserve no rights. And, as the earnest, young and deeply stupid interviewee showed, you have no right to have a say in how your country is governed.

I was listening to National Public Radio’s morning fake news program called, “Morning Edition” on the way in to work today. On came a feature about California’s being the so-called “hub of resistance” to the now one week-old Trump Administration. Well, there’s an open mind on the part of our ever so tolerant American left! 🙂

Quick aside: Which state proclaimed itself the “hub of resistance” to Obama, even though it’s obvious that Obama was much more radical than Trump ever thought of being? Oh, that’s right: not one single state said it was anything even resembling a “hub of resistance” to Obama.

Back to the NPR piece: An earnest young NPR reporter from California went around interviewing people for this feature. In those very brief interviews, as happens so frequently, the left revealed its own contradictions, its shallowness and ignorance. One earnest young (he sounded college-age) interviewee said that there needed to be electoral college reform because, he said, “People who live out in the middle of nowhere shouldn’t have a say in how the country is governed.”

Rough quote. The meaning is exact, though. “Out in the middle of nowhere” is exactly what he said. The NPR anchor, one David Greene, then translated, because it was obvious that the interviewee was a moron. “He means he thinks that rural states have too much influence in determining who becomes President.” said Greene.

Well.

I’ll give you the real translation, though: the blockheaded interviewee believes that If you don’t live where he thinks you ought to live, then you should have no say in who governs your country. That’s what this earnest young leftist said. And National Public Radio treated as legitimate, newsworthy commentary, this half-witted clodpole’s desire to strip more than half the country of its voting rights.

This is how the left thinks. And it’s not only where you live.
