Happy Is The Man … (Part II)

… who has a son.

He’s the image of himself as a young man. He shows his daddy all the things that he did wrong as a youngster.

In later youth, a man’s son shows his dad how he himself broke his mother’s and father’s heart, through youthful carelessness, recklessness or insouciance.

He is the “continuation of the line.” So’s his daughter, but society stubbornly continues the worthwhile tradition of giving value to “The Name.” This is a good thing.

The son carries the dad’s “line,” the daughter carries his essence, his heart. In each, the daddy has a glimpse into the future, and, by extension, into God’s heart … and eternity.
