Observations: Hillary, Trump, Politics, the Presidency… (Part II)

In this post here, we mentioned that Hillary “won,” sort of, the debate with Donald Trump. However, as pretty much all commentators noted, the “moderator,” Lester Holt, made sure (1) to ask Trump trough questions, (2) to avoid asking tough questions of Hillary, (3) to argue with Trump.

We said:

Remember how Hillary prepared and prepared and prepared and prepared for the debate, while Trump relaxed and, well, seemed to take it less seriously?  Then, the commentary should have been unanimous: She should have mopped up the floor with him. Which she did, if the test is to see which candidate has a plan to control every moment of every day of every week of every year of our lives.

If Holt had been an actual moderator, we’d have heard questions about Benghazi, about the secret e-mail server, about the Clinton Foundation.

However, we heard questions to Hillary about policy stuff, and to Trump about policy stuff, and about why Trump is such a bad person.

Had Lester Holt been an actual moderator, there’s a good chance that the ill-prepared, facts-deprived Trump might have trounced the thoroughly, transparently  corrupt Clinton.

In the above-linked essay, we remarked also that:

It should be stated that at least part of that dishonesty [on the part of the moderator] happens because these [liberal] debate “moderators” know that the Democrats will always lose debates in which they aren’t, well, significantly helped.

The whole “story” in America is all wrong. Yes, Trump is a vulgarian cad who treats everyone else as if he’s better because he’s richer. But that also nearly perfectly describes Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Kerry, Lyndon Johnson, Edward Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Jimmy Carter, John F. Kennedy, Chris Dodd, Al Gore, and on and on and on.

Why do they all get a pass, while Donald Trump is just a big jerk?

Answer: because the media, in true Saul Alinsky fashion(1), allow the left to commit theft, adultery, fraud, bribery, looting, extortion, lying … murder, and they will cover it up. However, if anyone with an “R” next to his name tries the same thing, the media will always crucify him.

That’s now Standard Operating Procedure for the media, and it’s the narrative in America that people like Trump are big jerks, while other actual jerks, like the Clintons, Obama, the Kennedys, etc., are just fine. Big, fun-loving empathizers with us common men.

Really, though, they’re all just big, dumb, jerks. If I had my way, I wouldn’t be governed by a single dad-blasted one of ’em.

(1) Saul Alinsky said that the left should force the right to live up to its own rules, while ignoring those rules for itself.
