It’s here. I guess it falls, now at least, into the “It’s Worth Repeating” category.
One of my colleagues at our small but increasingly influential think tank wrote it all the way back in 2014, and it concerns a movie that Harvey Weinstein and Meryl Streep were going to put out, that was going to “make the NRA wish they were dead.”
Our writer chuckled at the much overblown opinion that Weinstein and Streep must have of themselves to imagine that they have such power. Hollywood is, after all, nothing if not the worldwide home of overblown self-regard. Along with Washington, D.C.
Not sure what ever came of the movie idea, but I don’t think that anyone in the NRA — yet at least — wishes he or she were dead.
