And: a Conservative Google — “RightSearch?”
Bottom Line: There is a market for this. A big one. It would make a lot of money very quickly. And when it grows to Google-size, or Facebook-size, the reactionary, dinosaur old media would be forced to pay attention to it.
Just start one of each. Some rich dude somewhere should start an openly Conservative-friendly version of Facebook and Google to compete with them.
Both Facebook and Google admit that they openly discriminate against Conservative thought and Conservative thinkers in their policies and practices.
I go back and forth in my own thinking on whether that’s legal or not. For example, I suspect that the American Justice Department would come down on them quickly and hard if they were to discriminate openly against, for example, black people, or gays.
However, they do — discriminate against Conservatives — so why don’t we set up a version of the same thing that openly discriminates in favor of Conservative thought and thinkers.
Oh, we wouldn’t have to discriminate against others that much… just do the same things that Facebook does, only in favor of Conservative content.
And advertise the heck out of it.
I’d sign up. And I’d keep my existing Facebook page too. It’s been useful for me to re-discover past acquaintances around the world, but that’s all I use it for.
In a Conservative version of Facebook — let’s call it, hypothetically, “RightBook” — I’d seek out political acquaintances, both new and old. I’d seek out politically similar acquaintances with whom to interact socially as well. After all, Conservative social media would be, by definition, more intelligent social media. So it would be more fun.
Heck, I’d even pay an annual fee for something like a “RightBook.”
I’d use something like a “RightSearch,” to do what Google is actively preventing me from doing now. Remember: Google divulged that they push Conservative results down in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERP’s) that the search engine delivers. Google openly admits that they put obstacles in the path of the research of writers like my colleagues and me.
Advertise it a little, and I know that Conservatives would flock to a “RightBook” or a “RightSearch,” because all the dominant social media are actively doing whatever they can to squelch Conservative thought and thinkers. If Conservatives flock to these new media outlets and tools, then advertisers will flock to them as well. They’ll make money, and quickly.
There’s automatically a market for this. Guess who proved that many years ago: Rush Limbaugh. When he came on the air, his listenership exploded practically overnight to twenty million, with many, many more paying attention in other ways. He nearly overnight became the biggest broadcast media phenomenon in the history of the world. And he’s remained that for nearly thirty years.
That market isn’t nearly tapped out! Even if it were, Google and Facebook were kind enough to come along, admit that they openly discriminate against us and, thank you very much, create a brand new market for us!
