We’ve Catalogued How The Democrats’ Claims Regarding Race are Fraudulent…

This guy gives it a timeline.

Since before the Civil War, the Democrat Party has been working to deny black people the most basic of rights. When the Democrat Party finally supported voting and other rights, it was only to secure black votes — as Lyndon Johnson so crassly put it — for the next 200 years.(1)

I forget who said it, but we certainly implied it: the Democrat Party is nothing more than a criminal organization masquerading as a political party.

(1) Johnson said: “These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference… I’ll have them niggers voting Democratic for the next two hundred years.”

What’s instructive is to see people falling all over themselves to defend Johnson’s quote (here, for example), saying things like: “Well, he said it, but that’s not what he meant.” Yet another example of the left’s presumed ability to read minds.

Imagine if any Republican politician were to say something like that. Can you imagine people leaping to his defense? Or, as is obvious, would he be under some bus somewhere having been hurled there and forgotten as soon as the words escaped his lips?

If you read the comments, as well as the quote itself, something leaps out: even among these defenders of the Machiavellian Lyndon Johnson, there was no substantive reason for black people to become Democrats.
