Body language “gospel” is: you can tell a person is lying if when asked a question, she immediately looks away.
During her interview on FOX News, Hillary Clinton looked away from Bret Baier immediately after every question.
I tend to disagree with the body language thing. I know what she was doing. She was looking through her memory for the talking point that she was coached to say.
We’ve all done that. Someone poses a tough question, and you want to think a bit about the answer. It’s difficult to do that and make continuous eye contact.
While it’s plain that Hillary’s talking points were lies — the glib, but ultimately lame, attempts to explain away Obama’s and her dereliction of duty in Benghazi for example — it’s immaterial. She wasn’t actually trying to answer the questions with anything like the actual truth. She was trying to answer the questions on FOX News with the most plausible, carefully parsed, rehearsed lies possible in order to put herself in the best possible light.
